Bayer Leverkusen – Bochum

Bayer Leverkusen faces Bochum at the BayArena in a game from Bundesliga’s 17th round. Stay with us and our preview for the match.

Bayer Leverkusen returned on the pitch with a win after the winter break. Die Werkself faced Borussia M’gladbach away from home and celebrated a 3-2 win at the Borussia-Park. Bakker, Adli and Amiri gave Leverkusen a three goal advantage, while Borussia scored twice at the end of the game. Still, Leverkusen got the three points.

For Xabi Alonso’s team it was a 4th consecutive win in the German league. It seems that Alonso is finally showing his true potential as a head coach. The Spaniard had some problems in the beginning, but now his team looks much better. At this moment Bayer Leverkusen are 9th in the standings, but surely they will go up if they keep winning like this.

Bochum find themselves at 14th place in the Bundesliga with 16 points won so far. They have a record of 5 wins, 1 draw and 10 losses. Bochum’s problem is that they are too close to the dangerous zone – just one point ahead of the 16th Stuttgart.

Bochum restarted their season with a win, too – their third consecutive one in the league. Thomas Letsch’s team hosted Hertha BSC and celebrated a 3-1 win. Philipp Hofmann scored twice for the hosts while Keven Schlotterbeck added one for the win as well. Bochum conceded a goal at the end of the game, but at overall it was a very solid performance for them.

That’s our preview of the Bundesliga game between Bayer Leverkusen and Bochum at the BayArena. We can say that both teams are in a good shape so we expect a terrific match here. Can Leverkusen record a 5th consecutive win in the league? Let’s watch and we will see. They have the home advantage, but Bochum look dangerous.
