Bayern Munich – Hoffenheim
Just few days after their sensational performance against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League, Bayern Munich hosts Hoffenheim in a game from the seventh round of the Bundesliga.
Explained in simple words, Bayern Munich are looking amazing at the moment. On Tuesday the Bavarians made a historical performance in the Champions League, scoring seven goals during the visit to Tottenham Hotspur. The game in London ended with a 7-2 wins for the German side, which should tell you how strong they are at the moment.
The man of the night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was Arsenal’s ex-player Serge Gnabry. The talented winger made an amazing performance, scoring four goals for the Germans. Meanwhile Robert Lewandowski scored two more, while Joshua Kimmich also put the ball in the net behind Hugo Lloris.
One of the good news for Bayern and the manager Niko Kovac is the way Phillippe Coutinho is starting to settle in the team. Against Spurs the Brazilian was used in his best position – as number 10 and he did really well. We feel that Coutinho is going to be a vital player for Bayern this season.
After a performance like this, Bayern Munich are an obvious favourite against Hoffenheim on Saturday. Hoffe didn’t have the best possible start of the new season. They have won just five points so far, being 12th in the league. They have won only once since the beginning of the campaign – against Werder Bremen.
In their last three games in the league Hoffenheim have won just one point. In their last match they hosted Borussia M’gladbach at home, suffering a 0-3 loss. Clearly Hoffenheim still can’t adapt to the fact that the manager Julian Nagelsmann left the club in the summer.
We have no doubt that Bayern Munich will do the job against Hoffenheim on Saturday. We won’t be surprised if the champions offer us another high scoring spectacle at the Allianz Arena as well.
