Hoffenheim – Freiburg
Hoffenheim welcomes Freiburg in a game from the fourth round of the Bundesliga. We expect a pretty good game between these two sides at the PreZero Arena on Sunday. Let’s take a look.
Hoffenheim started the new season with every kind of result possible – a win, a draw and a loss. Right now they are 9th in the standings with four points won, but they could make a good jump in the table if they win their next game.
In the previous round Hoffe won a point during the tough visit to Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena. The match there ended with a 0-0 draw. Both teams had chances to score a winner, but this didn’t happen. In the second half Hoffenheim’s manager Alfred Schreuder put Jurgen Locadia, Kevin Akpoguma and Diadie Samasseko, but this didn’t lead to a win for the visitors. Still, Hoffenheim should be happy with a point won at a difficult ground like this.
In the same time Freiburg started the new campaign even better, currently being 6th in the league with 6 points won. The Breisgau-Brasilianer achieved two wins in the first two rounds against Mainz and Paderborn, but in the last round they surpisingly suffered a defeat during the home game against the newcomers Koln.
The match against Koln ended with a 1-2 win for the visitors. Rafael Czichos opened the score for the home side from a penalty kick, but Koln turned the game around with goals from Anthony Modeste and Ellyes Skhiri.
Hoffenheim can’t use the injured Diadie Samassekou, Steven Zuber and Andrej Kramaric for the next game, while Freiburg can’t use Marco Terrazzino and Mark Flekken.
Despite of being beneath Freiburg in the current standings, we believe that Hoffenheim are going to be favourites against Freiburg at their own ground. They need to climb up in the table and this is a very good opportunity.
