Juventus – Udinese
Juventus hosts Udinese at the Allianz Stadium in another game from the Coppa Italia 1/8-finals. In this article we are going to provide you with a short preview of this fuxture.
Juventus approach this game in a cheerful mood after they once again topped the Serie A standings. After Inter Milan’s mistake against Atalanta on Saturday, the Bianconeri achieved a crucial win against Roma at the Olimpico. Maurizio Sarri’s team scored two early goals in the first 10 minutes when Merih Demiral and Cristiano Ronaldo found the net behind Pau Lopez. In the second half Diego Perotti scored for the hosts, but until the end of the game Juve kept their lead and managed to overtake Inter Milan at the first place.
The bad news for the head coach Maurizio Sarri came from the injury which the centre back Merih Demiral recieved after just 19 minutes of playing. He was replaced by Mathijs de Ligt who is recently starting most of the games on the bench.
Against Udinese we shall expect to see Sarri doing some rotations. Most likely he is going to give playing time to men like De Ligt, Danilo, Emre Can, Filippo Bernadeschi and Douglas Costa. Gonzalo Higuain is expected to lead the forward line as well.
Udinese are in a great shape at the moment, winning all of their last three games in the Serie A. They enjoyed three consecutive wins against Cagliari, Lecce and Sassuolo, which allowed them to climb to 12th place in the league standings. Few days ago Udinese hosted Sassuolo at the Dacia Arena and enjoyed a solid 3-0 win.
In this game between Juventus and Udinese we should expect to see some heavy rotations by the hosts’ manager Maurizio Sarri. This is a great chance for some of the club’s players to recieve a chance and convince Sarri that they deserve more playing time.
