Lazio – Inter Milan

Lazio hosts Inter Milan at the Olimpico in one of the most interesting matches from the third round of the Serie A. This derby is going to be played on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio started their 2020/21 season with a win, but in their last game they suffered a heavy and very dissapointing loss. Simone Inzaghi’s team hosted Atalanta in the capital, but played a bad game and suffered a 1-4 defeat. Felipe Caicedo managed to score for the hosts, but what Atalanta did at the Olimpico was a pure football execution. Surely the manager Simone Inzaghi has some food for thought at the moment.

Because of this performance most likely Inzaghi will make some changes in his line-up. Players like Bastos, Anderson, Akpa-Akpro and Escalante could be in contention to start. Surely the manager must react somehow to what happened against La Dea.

Inter Milan kicked off their season in the best way possible with two wins from the first two matches. It’s a bit worrying that the Nerazzurri conceded five goals in their first two matches, but they also scored nine and secured two wins. It doesn’t mean the manager Antonio Conte won’t be having some talk with his defenders about the way they perform.

In their last game Inter Milan visited the newcomers Benevento and achieved a spectacular 5-2 win. Achraf Hakimi scored his first goal for the club while Lukaku shined with a brace for the visitors. Gagliardini and Lautaro Martinez scored for the Nerazzurri as well.

Lazio and Inter Milan performed in a totally different way in their last games in the Serie A. Lazio suffered a bad beating from Atalanta, while Inter scored five goals away from home. Maybe this makes the Nerazzurri favourites here, but surely Lazio would want to react in some way to what happened few days ago.
