Manchester United – Leicester

The reigning champion Leicester City is hosting Manchester United in a game from the 24rd round of the English Premier League.

After shockingly winning the title last season, now Leicester City are more closer to the relegation zone than to the top of the league. Many people expected this kind of a performance drop from Claudio Ranieri’s team and it’s looking completely normal. But it will be really strange to see last year’s champions to relegate to the Championship right after winning the title. The Foxes are currently just two points above the 18th Crystal Palace.

Manchester United on the other hand continue their fight for a place in the Top 4 in Jose Mourinho’s first season at helm. Right now the Red Devils are four points behind the 4th Liverpool, being unable to win neither one of their last three games. For Manchester United it will be a disaster to miss Champions League football in a second season in a row, but the competition for the Top 4 this season is more fierce than ever.

Jose Mourinho knows that his team needs to start winning on a regular basis, if they want to qualify for the Champions League. At this stage of the season, every point lost could be fatal for United’s ambitions.

Leicester’s Islam Slimani and Ben Hamer are doubtful for the game, while Jose Ulloa recovered from his last injury and he’s once again fit to play.

Jose Mourinho is lucky enough to have a completely fit squad for the visit to King Power Stadium. All of his key players are in full fitness for the game, so Manchester United will have just one goal in mind before this clash – the three points.

In September Manchester United didn’t face any problems against Leicester City, beating the champions with 4-1 at the Old Trafford.
