Milan – Fiorentina
Milan hosts Fiorentina at the Stadio San Siro in a much interesting fixture from the sixth round of the Serie A. We are going to talk about this game a little bit today.
Sadly for Milan’s millions of fans, the club continues to struggle in the Serie A. On Thursday the Rossoneri suffered their third defeat from five games played in the league, which is the reason why Milan are currently 13th in the standings with just 6 points won so far.
During the summer the club appointed Marco Giampaolo as the new manager, but so far things are not going well for him. On Thursday Milan visited Torino at the Olimpico and got beaten with 1-2. Krzysztof Piatek opened the score for the visitors from a penalty kick, but in the second half Torino clinched the win with two goals from their excellent target man Andrea Belotti.
Marco Giampaolo put Giacomo Bonaventura and Ante Rebic on the pitch with the hope of a change, but nothing like this happened. If Milan lose again on Sunday, things could get really complicated for the manager.
Fiorentina on the other hand are coming to the San Siro in a good mood after recording their first win for the season. On Wednesday Enzo Montella’s boys finally achieved a win, beating Sampdoria with 2-1 at the Artemio Franchi. Franck Ribery assisted to German Pezzella for the opening goal, while Federico Chiesa doubled La Viola’s lead. Sampdoria scored a goal back after a strike from Federico Bonazzoli, but Fiorentina’s defense didn’t make a mistake until the end.
Milan and Fiorentina are facing each other in a very different mood on Sunday. Milan’s manager Marco Giampaolo could be sacked if his team continues to lose, while Fiorentina will try to replicate their performance in the previous round.
