Napoli – Milan

Napoli hosts Milan in one of the big derbies of the 13th round of the Italian Serie A.

Surprising or not, Napoli are leading the Serie A standings after the first 12 rounds. The Azzurri have 32 points won so far and a point advantage in front of the champion Juventus. They have record of ten wins and two draws so far, being the only unbeaten team in the league, alongside Inter.

Against Milan Napoli will try to bounce back after the dissapointment against Chievo in the last round. Maurizio Sarri’s team lost two points against the Flying Donkeys, so now they will try to take everything against Milan at home. Especially with Juventus being so close to them right now.

As for Milan, the Rossoneri are currently 7th with19 points won so far. Milan’s record at the moment is six wins, one draw and five losses, which speaks of a huge inconsistency. A lot of people expected to see Vincenzo Montella already sacked at this point, but at the moment the young manager is managing to keep his job. But for how long? This is the big question.

Napoli can’t use the injured Faouzi Ghoulam and Arkadiusz Milik, while Jose Reina and Nikola Maksimovic are doubtful for the game.

Milan’s manager Enzo Montella is going to be without the key defender Leonardo Bonucci, who is suspended. Andrea Conti is injured, while Davide Calabria, Giacomo Bonaventura, Nikola Kalinic and Gabriel Paletta are all doubtful for the game. The good news come from the recovery of the important midfielder Lucas Biglia, who was troubled by a knee injury.

Napoli are the favourite here, especially at home ground. The Azzurri are performing much better than Milan since the start of the season and they are leaders in the table. Milan on the other hand are troubled with inconsistency.
