Partizan – Manchester United

Manchester United travels to Serbia to meet Partizan in a game from Group L of Europa League. These two teams are currently leading the group standings, having four points won each. Let’s take a look at this clash.

Partizan can be really satisfied with the way they kicked off their Europa League campaign. The Serbian team made a home draw against AZ in the first round, but after this the Grobari visited Astana in Kazakhstan and enjoyed a 2-1 win. The big hero for the visitors was the Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq, who scored a brace.

The legendary former Serbian striker Savo Milosevic is the current Partizan manager. He was appointed at the position in March and it’s his first job as a coach. In the Serbian Super Liga Partizan are currently 5th in the standings with 23 points, being 7 points behind the champion and leader Crvena Zvezda.

Manchester United are having the same amount of points as their next opponent. The Red Devils started their campaign with a home win against Astana, which was followed by a 0-0 draw against AZ on Dutch soil.

Right now times are not the brightest for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team. The Red Devils are without a win in their last four games in all competitions. Few days ago they hosted Liverpool in the Premier Legue and only won a point after a 1-1 draw at the Old Trafford.

It’s still not clear what Solskjaer’s future in the club is. The Norwegian is a legend of United and the fans love him, but his results do not look good enough at this moment. It’s a tricky situation for Molde’s former manager.

We have to think that Manchester United are favourites against Partizan in Europa League, even if the game is going to be played in Belgrade. We expect some fight from the Serbians, though, so be careful
