SPAL are one of the newcomers in the Serie A this season, but they are currently not in the best possible position. SPAL are currently placed in the relegation zone of the league, being 18th in the standings with just 10 points won so far. Their record is two wins, four draws and eight defeats.

Roma are unbeaten in their last five games, winning four of them. In the last round The Wolves made a wrong step, losing two points during the draw against Genoa. It was a big dissapointment for Roma, especially knowing how bad Genoa’s position in the league is. Now Roma have to make up in front of their fans for the mistep.

In their last five matches SPAL lost only twice, which is a good achievement for them. In the last round of the Serie A SPAL lost against Chievo away from home. Before that they were in a run of three consecutive matches without a loss. If they manage to do something like this again, it’d be very well for their situation.

Roma can’t use the veteran midfielder Daniele De Rossi, who is suspended for the game. Meanwhile Rick Karsdorp is still injured. Doubtful for the game is Gregoire Defrel, who is having a knee injury.

SPAL do not have any serious trouble before the game and they could use their full squad at the Olimpico.
